What to look forward to on this blog

What is a "review"? A summary? Sure. An analysis? Perhaps. A creative work of the imagination? Why not?

The Imaginations blog seeks to expand the definition and scope of the scholarly review by exploring the idea of The Image, writ large. We intend to publish short, irreverent book reviews, but also reviews of any cultural image that comes into view. Art exhibits, films, advertising, political imagery: we will explore it all.

In the coming days, expect a review of this editor's walk through Edmonton's south side, a diagonal slash across the grid of single family homes and streets with no names.
